Except that darn Peter Pan.
I was introduced to the tales of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan when I was a child. When watching the 1953 Disney version of “Peter Pan,” I’d laugh gaily as Hook fled from the ticking crocodile. However, as I got older, I became aware of the darkness in the humor. I unexpectedly found myself feeling compassion for Captain Hook.
